After years of working in several different career fields I have found that I end up being delegated to the administrative assistant role, even when my seniority didn't match the level of work I was given. What path would you recommend to encourage the transition from a lower level administrative assistant to someone standing firmly in a corporate field. I have informed my boss, by this summer, I will be leaving to go to school or further my career. He has since decided to retire, to me this is a huge feeling of satisfaction. Knowing that I was able to see things through to this point. Therefore, I hope to find a job that permits me to grow while also allowing me to maintain a bit of loyalty to a company or boss. Looking forward to your advise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1578358125212393436.post-88719477587789027992014-01-22T14:54:24.505-08:002014-01-22T14:54:24.505-08:00hey would like to talk to u...hv an EA interviewhey would like to talk to u...hv an EA interviewAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1578358125212393436.post-63473260433423979042012-08-03T12:35:50.764-07:002012-08-03T12:35:50.764-07:00Guru of Assistants - Thank you for the comment! The best always seem to make it look easy, but I tell people we are like ducks on the water. We may look calm and under control, but look underneath and it is a flurry of activity. When people ask me what makes a great assistant I tell them organized without attitude. If you have trouble keeping track of things or if anybody has ever called you lippy don’t even try to be an assistant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
